Hm, I never knew about that fight happening.

Still, I think Koscheck could beat him. Alves blows hot and cold, mostly due to weight but I'd say Koscheck and Fitch are a level above everyone else in the WW division except GSP, Shields and maybe Alves.

I saw the fight and wanted Kos to win. He got thoroughly dominated on his feet and couldn't get the fight to the ground. His leg got punished by kicks all night, thought he was going to get stopped a few times also. :deal

    Thiago owned Kos too.

Rashad is probably the most accomplished.

As sloppy a brawler as I think he is, Forrest has wins over Shogun, Franklin, Tito Ortiz, Rampage, Sonnen..can't look past him

It was before he was on TUF. He submitted him Anderson Silva style while Sonnen was on top trying to pound him. Good triangle too, got it in tight.

    Easily.

Look how easily Fitch beat Alves, and Kos is a better wrestler than Fitch IMO.

How would Alves succeed where Johnson and Daley failed?

Kos would smother and pound him for every minute of every round.

Kos has improved a lot over the last couple of years.

    Kos is overrated.

He gets dominated by Alves now people say he has improved and would beat alves even though he was never even competitive against Alves in their first meeting.

Thiago ko'd him because koschecks boxing in atrocious, his defence is **** and his offence is ****. He does have a powerful right hand though.

Sure kos beat a hyped Johnson and beat Daley who has no ground skills Kos also beat Trigg.

I bet condit, kampman, fitch, and shields all beat him. obviously he isnt gonna fight fitch, but fitch is a better fighter.

    Also Alves beats him again.

I would rate Forrest Griffin higher.

Dominated? That was a good fight. The competitiveness of their fight is a major reason that I said Alves had little to no chance against GSP. I'd love to see them have a rematch.

did you see that fight Rek?

Alves outstruck kos easily and was never even taken down despite multiple attempts from kos, and kos was even dropped in the first round by a left hook and hurt pretty badly.

All the lowkicks kos took I was surprised he was able to finish the fight.

Nah. Kos beats all of those guys. Shields has great ability, but he looks crap at 170. Kos dominates Kampmann and beats Condit.

I'd love to see Kos-Alves II, I would bet money on Koscheck in that one.

Kos is not as good a grinder as Fitch. He's a better wrestler in terms of explosive takedowns, but he isn't close to Fitch level in terms of keeping active and beating people up while in guard.

Alves would get taken down on occassion by Kos, but I can't see Kos keeping him down and Alves has a massive, massive advantage standing.

Kos and Condit are similar fighters imo, interesting fight.

LOL at Kos beating Alves in a rematch. The first fight was competitive but Alves had Kos hurt on multiple occasions and Kos didn't come close to finishing any of his takedown attempts.

I wouldn't expect much more out of Kos in a rematch.

FYI fight is on UFC Wired on hulu if anyone wants to watch it: http://www.hulu.com/watch/198024/ufc-wired-josh-koscheck-matt-hamill-frank-mir-and-more

You think this because of his wrestling skills?

remember kos has fallen in love with his punching power and gets off gameplan like he did with Paulo Thiago. He has also stopped improving years ago.

kos beating shields is a tough one, I really doubt that happens remember kos is just a wrestler with a big right hand.

kampman easily outstrikes kos can he defend the takedows I think he might be able to and win a decision.

Condit outstrikes kos but has good skill off his back. I think he can do enough to win by decision or maybe tko.

Alves beats him again just so you dont have to lose any money placing bets.:deal

What did kos do to impress people so much, when he loses it seems to get written off like it doesnt matter. It does matter he has serious flaws in his MMA game.
