Nonsense... 140 was Chavez' prime-time weight.... At 140, Chavez was ripped and strong... 130 & 135 was a strain, otherwise, Chavez would've stayed there much longer than he did... Peace...

Aaron Pryor was VERY overrated.... He was sloppy and easy to hit.... His peak really only lasted for three years (1980-1983)... By '85, Pryor was terrible against Gary Hinton on TV...

Pineda was a dangerous puncher who arguably beat Zab Judah at the age of 38, and Pea schooled and shut out a prime version.

Rafael Pineda KO'd Roger Mayweather with ONE shot on HBO back in '91..... Mayweather was pretty much done as a fighter by then...

Chavez was better against Rosario at LW than at any other point in his career IMO.

chavez was never ripped in his whole career.
he never had that type of body type.

every fighter boils down bar heavys and maybe a few cruisers.

All time greatest at 140 is between Chavez & Pryor.

If your talking H2H then its between Chavez & Whitaker tho guys like Pryor, Mayweather & Benitez could be aswell.

    Really difficult thread.

I'm not saying that Chavez bulged with muscle tone at 140, but he was trim and solid, and primed there..... Chavez reigned from '89 to '94... 140 proved to be home for Chavez.... Nuff said about that..... Overall, Pernell Whitaker or DLH are probably the best guys who ever won titles at 140.... It doesn't matter about lack of defenses, etc..... The Whitaker of 1992 and the DLH of '96 were hard to beat at 140.....
