Definitely the most proven given the number of fights/victories his era allowed a fighter to compile, and he compiled them over some great names. But a Mike Spinks, who I think would give him a helluva fight, just wasn't in a era where that facilitated that.
Probably because he wouldn’t fight Black men 100 years ago, & has to undergo a struggle session before he can enter this tournament.
What relevant black light heavyweight was there to face in his era? He faced Greb and Loughran and they were leagues ahead of any other lhw in their era
Preaching to the converted mate. I’m not in the crowd that brings this up against Tunney every time he’s mentioned.
Hmm? in your own words Beterbiev is similar to Sonny Listion, and is better than Joe Frazier,,,,,,,,,, ,,,is this based on his best wins,,like Gvozdyk, Joe Smith or Anthony Yarde, oh! or Callum Smith? P.S. Patterson would kill Beterbiev.,,,
I got Spinks. Big puncher with a style that is unique and would pose many people trouble based on that alone.
Physically imposing fighter with crushing power, a penchant for pressure, and well-rounded fundamentals and counterpunching skills. What's wrong with that, it describes both pretty well, no?
No love for Michael Moorer? It’s been a decade or more since I last saw one of his LHW fights, but I recall him being a beast at LHW.
It's based on what I see with my eyes. Patterson went life and death with Ingo and was smashed by Liston. Biev would manhandle him at 175.
Hi Buddy. Not sure the defeats by both Ingo and Liston should have, much if any , bearing on the outcome of a fight with Biev, Patterson was giving away nearly 14lbs in the first fight, and again in the 3rd, the Swede was a thunderous puncher, who would have hurt and maybe floored many a good HW had he landed on target, as for the Liston defeat, again the weight diff was around 23lb in the first and around 15lb in the second, add to this Liston was a big puncher at the weight, don't see how the above correlation would have lead you to see Biev manhandling Patterson at 175 ? he withstood the punches, and brute strength of Durrelle twice, so Biev would hold no fears for him, I would suspect, but as always, you're entitled to your opinion, and I respect it. stay safe DG, chat soon .
Charles, Moore, Foster were all gods. But Spinks seemed to have it all: I doubt he could have beaten Eddie MM without his boxing ability, yet Michael was also one of the most devastating punchers in his division's history. So, Michael. But those other guys were amazing.
