You could make a case for: Duran, because he went the distance with Hagler, beat Barkley, Moore, Leonard, Buchanan and was the greatest lightweight ever. He was an all around fighter. He had heavyweight power, dished out brutal amounts of punishment, sneaky defence, chin, stamina, heart, left hook to the body, smarts, he was calm, was a great finisher, he had everything. Monzon. Because he was the most dominant middleweight and had an 87-3 record (with 9 draws) and went undefeated for MANY fights and years. Arguello, he was a three time champ, defended titles often, he lost 8 fights in many fights, and was a BIG puncher. He keeped his power Benitez, he became the youngest champ ever, he gained 3 titles, beat Duran, gave Leonard hell, and was a great defensive fighter. Chavez SR, he had the longest winning streak, ruined Taylor, who could have been the next Leonard, had big power, stamina, and a granite face. Trinidad, almost NO ONE could defeat him toe to toe, won 3 titles, had the longest reign at welterweight, murdered numerous figher's careers, he ruined people with his heavyweight power: Vargas, Joppy, etc. Jofre, he was a great bantamweight, only fighting Harada ever beat him as a pro, made a successful comeback and went undefeated in it and he was VERY difficult to defeat, he had more draws than defeats. Sanchez, he died too young, but he had a bit of everything, but most of all, he had a will of a lion and a chin and cardio to match, and because of it, he could prevail in tough fights, in classics, in his short career and life he fought about 50 fights, he beat high caliber fighters, Gomez, Nelson, etc. R.I.P. Salvador. You would have been even greater if not for the premature death... My condolences to his family... (excuse my spelling if i typed it wrong, I'm not English) Napoles, he had guts (even enough to fight Monzon and at middleweight) he gained the title 3 times, fought even then non-title bouts, defended it VERY often, lost it 2 times, regained it 2 times, and had the ability to stay away, like Hagler. I say Duran.
