Prime Kovalev was a world class fight pre the Ward robbery. Who can you see him beating?

Peak Kov would beat Canelo, that's for certain

IMO Kov could beat a lot of guys. I could see him beating Darius, Matthew Saad, Tarver, guys that are very good but maybe a notch below elite

Jones Jr. would be too quick for him, Conn would be too slick, Moore would likely outbox him, Spinks and Foster too tall and rangy, and Charles too good all round. However, i could see Kov at his peak giving all of these guys a hard fight.

People forget how good peak Kov was. IMO he clearly beat Ward in their first fight. Kov is very unlikable as a guy but a really good fighter.

Not that many elites, he didn’t seem to handle adversity too well, which doesn’t auger well against the best.
Also Ward a relatively light hitting super middleweight had him hurt with body shots, someone picked him over Dempsey, he’d be decimated.

I rewatched it a bit ago and still scored it for Ward.
