That fight will be made soon enough mate.. Dilks's people said a straight up NO. Courtney and me are friends BUT if the money was right and a title was at stake I don't see how either of us could say NO.. The McKenzie fight appeals to me the most as he comes to fight..:good
I fully understand Jeff's post, He's going by opposition we've faced and he's right BUT he's also saying he believe's I'll beat both in his opnion, It's like him saying ie-I think Bellew will beat Tony Oakey BUT I still should not be rated above him right now, It's a fair point to be honest and I fully understand it. Things will be proven when I get the step up and fight better guys.I just wish some of them would take the chance.:-( I can't claim to be the best yet cos I ain't proved it BUT I can believe in myself and keep pushing for bigger and better fights..:good Thanks again to everyone for the support!!
That would be a real challenge. I don't think FW would take it. Its not the type of match up he makes generally. Its strange to have a fighter so in touch with what the purist fans want.... I take it that its the traditional route that would appeal most to you?
Me Vs McKenzie has a good chance of happening mate trust me.. I don't see the Oakey fight coming off as he's with Hatton promotions.:-( I have tons of respect for Tony and his team as there a good set of professional people but I just don't see the people who look after my career dealing with the people who look after his..:deal Me and McKenzie would be exciting..:good I'd take Ajisafe...
tony you and oliver would be a great fight! hope it hapeens, will be a great clash of styles, have you done any sparring with paul smith for his up comeing fight?
Ain't sparred with Paul for this fight to be honest..:good Your right about me and Ovil would be a great clash of styles..:good Ajisafe would be a nightmare but I'd get to him and break him up..
Ant's already the best light heavyweight in Liverpool. He hasn't got the opponents on his record that Fry has, but anyone who has watched him enough will know that he is on a different level ability and power wise. People talk about Fry's amateur record and it is brilliant, but remember that Anthony won 3 ABA heavyweight titles and several multi nation tournaments beating some serious opponents on his way. And since he's turned over with Arnie, he's improved beyond measure. You could argue that Fry hasn't really kicked on from his amateur days. I know how difficult it's been for him to find opponents - quite a few established fighters who would have represented a good step up for him have turned down a fight in the last few weeks...you would be surprised who's been offered the fight and not been interested. Danny Mackintosh would be the obvious fight - just been beaten, but still a decent opponent, comes to fight, would get knocked out...and would be a good measure of progress v Cleverly
tony can you see your self boxing at cruser and heavyweight as a pro? i remember watching you as a heavyweight in the amatures your balls to the wall style was very exciting! you was willing to take 3 to land one of your big punches! i was hopeing you would turn pro as a heavyweight.
I really don't think Ajisafe would be a hard fight for you, he's lazy, his defence is leaky, he has zero power and a shaky chin. He's probably the least exciting 'prospect' i've seen in a while. Plus Ovill knocked **** out of him and got robbed. No disrespect to the guy but in international terms he's going nowhere. You'd stop him.
Nice one Bomber, I would love to see you in the ring with McKensie, it would a very good test for you, I though Ovill was brilliant in the prizefighter that he won and it was a shame he was so inactive after that.
Tony whos that bald geezer getting punched in your avvy, right ugly brute aint he? anyway John Conteh has to be the best
