Yeah, at first I thought he was elroy light...now he may have even surpassed him or rather taken trolling to a new low.

I have no problem with diverse opinions, it is part of what makes discussing boxing both timeless and fun...and in many cases educational. I have learned much on this forum during the past 6 years....changed some of my views, as I have debated and listened to others opinions.

But these 2, are not open to discussing anything, they contribute nothing from a boxing analysis, are not open to discuss or heaven forbid listen to someone elses view point.

Then when they are found to be lacking in any foundational knowledge of the sport and get exposed for not having any facts to back up their baseless claims...the resort to cursing, insults and nationalistic slurs...

elroy at least seems to have an education of at least a high school level, so if he ever decided to contribute in a tangible way he could actually be an asset to the forum....but foxy will likely never be anything more than the joke he has displayed himself to be...

Ive been here a year and a half and I couldnt tell you how much ive learned! One bit of info I was surprised about before entering this Forum was just how many SRL haters are out there considering 2 years ago I had him pegged Americas sweetheart. I was wrong. After listening to facts about the way he went about his career and the way he treated others(manly Haglar) even my attitude changed greatly.

Foxy gives classless trolling a whole new name. Your right about one thing if he (or Elroy) are exposed then stuff really hits the fan and he just jumps from one thread to another just to insult anyone who stands in his way so when you really do have a generally serious conversation building with someone else who is spitting facts and he doesnt like it then everyone on the Forum is a moron but him. I mean cmon man! Get this guy outa here!!!:-(

It is not really that close; Duran is an all time top 10 fighter, and as high as #3 on some peoples lists. Leonard is very debatable top 10, Tommy and Marvin probable top 30.

Actually, apparently the rest of the world is quite concerned with American thoughts & culture, and they keep showing up by the millions to become new "Yanks" themselves. Are you British? Is that what this whole thing has been about? Hey, the wars have been over since 1812 and the 1770s. You lost; it's ok. We're on the same team now.

Well im from St. Louis so i dont have much to choose from when it comes to home grown talent.

The Spinks are from here and I hear that Leon still shows himself at local gyms and small events. Dont know what happened to Michael. Corey Spinks I think just disappeared.

In the 50's my Grandma and Grandpa, who was a Golden Gloves HW himself, lived in the same Apartment building as Sonny Liston. I have pictures of them all together BBQing and even have a photo of Sonny holding my Mom when she was about 2. Always thought that was amazing. My grandfather always had nothing but nice things to say about Liston and told me Sonny used to tell my Gpa and his brothers that he was gonna be HW Champ some day and they all pretty much wrote him off even though they knew he was talented from seeing him fight here in St. Louis. So when he did win the title you can imagine by familys excitement. Once he moves away they never saw him again.:good If I had a scanner I would post those Pics.

I think you could make a case for any of them, but it's easiest to make the most compelling case for Duran.

    either Duran or Hagler

I'd say Hagler cuz he was never stopped or dropped

his career ended in unsatisfactory way but whose career hasnt (besides Tunney, Marciano, Monzon)

Duran also has 12 def in his own weight class whereas Leonard N Hearns at most, 4

Hearns, who peaked at age 25, could easily be compared with a young George Foreman but with more talent & technique. he's a close third while leonard, who needed all the help he could get, comes in a distant fourth

    not bad, 4 out of 4 :D

That`s true but unlike Duran he never moved up from his original weight. We don`t know how he would`ve fared if he had fought a Light Heavy with a big punch.

Not saying Hagler wasn`t great just that Duran`s move through the weight divisions was uncommon.

Hagler is my favorite and the best head to head.

But Duran is probably the greatest lightweight of all time and so I have to say him. Followed by Hagler as he is a certified top 5 middleweight of all time . (certified top 3 for me personally)
