I think someone is going to get a nasty E-Mail from Cordoba...

Although controversial and ultimately meaningless in the fight, Hagler was clipped with a left hook as he slipped, and although very harsh, the ref was within his rights to issue a count.

It would only be idiotic for someone to pick Hearns.

Duran is potentially the best fighter in the second half of the 20th century

Competitive, but I don't see anyone he fought being rated higher

Hearns v McCalllum or Jackson would have been interesting at 154.

:patsch So out of 4 fighters, you think the 3 americans will make up 75% of the vote....no ****. It doesn't take Scotland Yard to figure that one out.

    Duran

Then pre 1982 Leonard based on potential, he never lived upto the what if

Haggler and hearns is a toss up

Haggler is more rounded, hearns the more talent

Duran is up there with Roy jones, James toney, Lennox Lewis,

who are u kidding with this?

u know WHy its controversial? becuz it was a bad call. it was a bad call becuz as Merchant said, "it was more of a push and a pull"

there was no clip as u put it

Hagler has never been stopped and never been dropped and always fought his way to victory. that puts him in exclusive company, the likes of which Leonard and Hearns will never see

as to the story there was a thumb, the thumb has never been seen not even in slow motion replays from all angles

Hagler shut the eye with his fist the way Duane Thomas shut and broke the eye socket of Mugabi

a pinpoint accurate uppercut right on the mark

i credit Roldan for the tremendous effort. he fared much better than predicted but in order to carry out the win took actual effor tand that effort was carried out by the only one good enough to make it work: hagler

    not Leonard, Hagler

PS: the blueprint for beating Hagler is handicap him by waiting him out 6 yrs and then go after him in his last fight

now go away u dumb broad. I bet u like it up the ass

You are entitled to your opinion and so am I. We both may feel it should of gone down as a slip, but it did not, thus Hagler officially took a count. Which still puts him in pretty 'exclusive company'...

I see what u are saying but u and I both know it was really he ref's mistake

ali was ruled off his feet by Wepner, not that anyone cares

Personally I always felt that it was more slip than knockdown, but Roldan's glove made contact with Hagler and Hagler went down, so I suppose logically they had to call it.
