Though an argument certainly be made for Oscar, he did fight Mayweather to a split decision about 10 years later.
Ok, I'll take a bet with you right now for 6 months off assuming that they fight down the road @ 147. If Floyd beats Pac convincingly meaning by an average of 5 points or more per card or by knockout, I will go off for 6 months. If not, you go off for 6 months. 9 rounds to 3 would be 6 points, while 8 to 4 would be 4 points. The whole controversy angle is subjective because what is controversial in your eyes might not be in mine and vice-versa.
I made a bet that if Pac and Floyd don't fight in 2010 I have go off ESB forever. So i am hoping they fight this year.
Bull****. Where's the defense? Where's the countering? Where's the ring generalship? PBF at 140 that night would have schooled the Pac who fought Hatton by wide UD. PBF was better in every department.:deal
**** the judges, I dont trust them... we could get Leonard-Hagler type scorecards in what we both believe should have been 8-4 cards all round but you dont want 6 months off so you can point to the incompitent judges to get you off. Whats wrong with whoever wins wins... if MP wins, I`ll leave, if FM wins, you leave, that way there can be no loop holes for either of us to escape if our pick loses, its win or bust (after all, you DID say you would pick MP to win).... you can pick how long off if you want.
well I think Pac will win a close fight, while you think Floyd will "beat Pac's ass." So we should meet somewhere in the middle so that whoever is closer to being right is the winner of the bet.
I took the time and watched both of those videos.... I am not sure how someone can not realize that Mayweather has far more impressive boxing skills. His hands look faster, he is more defensive, he throws punches from different angles. Pac to me is a in and out brawler, he rushes in, throws punches and gets out. Its very exciting, but I think Mayweather has much more impressive skills.
A win without contraversy could be as close on the cards as 7-5 tho, that looks on paper a close enough fight to warrant debate but the fight might be more decisive than that. I personally see an 8-4 job in FMs favour & the fight might resemble that but what if the judges score it 6-6, 7-5, 7-5.... that means Im fkd thru judges bull****, I dont trust them.... thats why I offered you the win or bust, no loopholes or excuses scenario & allowed you to pick the punishment, if your not that confident on a MP win then pick less time off or an avater bet or something that suits.... or just walk the other way like MP did
the judges can be incompetent your way or my way. If you're seeing a Floyd win 8 rounds to 4 in a fight that the judges might see as 6-6 or 7-5 doesn't sound like much of an ass whipping man. It sounds like a close fight that you improperly scored. You should pick your words better. Pac vs Cotto (even without the KO), Floyd vs Judah, those are fights where I would say "He beat his ass". A fight like Floyd vs Oscar isn't or Morales vs Pacquiao definately isn't.
Exactly PBF is the more well rounded fighter and that more well roundedness will be the difference if these two ever meet. Also PBF looks more impressive in this video absolutely flawless performance.
People who still see Pacquiao as an in and out brawler, especially in that video, don't get the intracacies of the sport. Pac won that fight on the backfoot. Letting Hatton walk forward, open himself up and making him pay. Pac finished the job by rushing in and throwing alot of punches but the foundation on which the fight was won is about defense, distance and counterpunching. I'm starting to see that alot of these so called sweet science specialists are actually among the ones who see the least in the sweet science. The ones for who if the sweet science doesn't smack em right in the face, they will miss it. You think Pac jsut rushes in, throws punches, and gets out... look again. clinching, jabbing, dodging, countering, ducking, blocking... did you not see all that?
