And who would be your runner-up (for best heavyweight that hasn't had their shot at a title yet but established themselves as name prospects).

From the list I'd say -
Povetkin & Pulev; a prime, uninjured Helenius would be right up there too. Not sure if Robert will ever be the same.

The rest have more to show.

Im going out on a limb here, but if Helenius is able to come back to where he was before that fateful week leading up to the DelBoy fight.......

No one in the current HW landscape beats that healthy version of Helenius.:think

    Chisora did what?????????:huh:huh

Is DelBoy the reason Helenius fell while running and caused Robbe to stop sparring 6 weeks before the fight?
Is DelBoy the cause of Helenius' torn labrum????

I know DelBoys forehead was the cause of Robbe's broken carpal bones.....that happened in Rd 1 when Helenius sent Chisora reeling across the ring doing the chicken dance. I mean that was evident with the very next right hand Robbe threw......but how did Chisora cause the torn shoulder muscle Robbe injured early during his training for the EU title fight???

Sadly, for fightfans, it became evident immediately after the fight, that Derek Chisora had a close fight with a one armed fighter. Pretty sad indeed. Especially when, in his very next bout, he got dominated by a one armed Champion.:D

Those power punches took there toll.

It was the biggest robbery in the past five years.

I still think Helenius is top ten, good punch resistance, jab and power.
In fact I would tip him to beat Povetkin, Thompson, Adamek and Wilder.

    But he lost, no excuses.

If he had beaten Chisora like everyone apart from me was saying, there would be no excuses from Del's side.

I'm surprised by all the Fury votes. I know a lot of the board is British but it seems like every time I see Pulev/Fury mentioned the comments are assuming Pulev wins. I actually thought Pulev might lead this over Povetkin and here he's being outvoted by Fury.

Povetkin is the clear cut #3 behind both Klitschko's.

Totally agree on Helenius but shoulder injuries (and chronic hand injuries) are really difficult to come back from, especially when his success depends so heavily on landing power punches from the injury prone side.

Anyone whose answer is something other than Povetkin and Pulev as 1 and 2 has some serious agenda to set aside.
