Who is the best promoter in Britain?

    Best Promoter = puts on the best shows, best match-ups, entertaining/quality stable & memorable cards plus whatever other criteria you feel is important (please state in thread).

    I have added the biggest and established promoters for their track record.

    If it was for just this year (so far), then I would pick Maloney, But Warren is top overall for me.

    No offence but this is a bit pointless isnt it? Its ****ing obvious who's the best as much as he irritates me at times.

    Warren has the biggest stable of fighters but spends too much time manufacturing 30-0 records for his young fighters. I think if you are a young up and coming fighter Hatton would be the best to develop under.

    A few years ago i would have said Warren but i think its Maloney now. If we are going for over the last 10 years naturaly its Warren but i realy do think Maloney is going to make a big impact over the next few years.

    I will go with Matchroom as overall I have enjoyed his shows most over the last couple of years. Plus I think that Prizefighter is a brilliant innovation to boxing coverage - exciting format and matchups (for the most part).

    Plus, despite the scoffing from other promoters, he pulled a masterstroke in signing Audley - who is already on the verge of a money spinning and eye-catching World Title Shot. Hearn is a shrewd operator.

    My second choice would be Warren as he still is the main man when it comes to putting on a big show and good fights when he wants to.

    But, Warren and Maloney, for the most part put on too many fights on their cards were they are putting prospects in with pushovers - especially Maloney.

    Hatton started off with very good shows and great scraps but the last few cards have been very pedestrian.

    Hennessey deserves credit for getting involved in the Super Six - which is another very good innovation to the boxing season. Also, I thought his shows on ITV4 were very entertaining for the most part.

    Sure he has some horrible mis-matches on his cards (mainly with the Heavyweights, which get more air time which again makes Maloney look worse), but he's not exactly the only one who does it. So far this year I think Maloney has done a good job overall. And he put on the domestic FOTY last year and has Munroe and Booth in 'world' titles shots this year.

    I have no problem with people voting for him.

    I do agree with that but they have to pad out the card some how .

    Test them against their nearest British rivals before moving up to European and World level. They have large stables - a few losses is par for the course and it isnt the worst thing in the world - many a fighter has learned from a loss and came back stronger.

    Plus, if they win against their genuine domestic rival it will improve the promoters reputation for putting on good shows, his guy will have a great win on their record or at worst a competitive loss. And, ultimately the fighter will be better prepared if/when they step up.
