I say calderon. The guy is just an amazing talent. You can't blame him for not having power yet he dominates his opponents. Juanma is a good fighter but unproven, penalosa is the best fighter on his resume. Cotto is good but is very beatable he has a good record but I see him getting beat by clottey and if he gets by clottey, pacman.
I say Cotto is the best for now, I see Juanma is working his way up. Except I hate his showboating.... makes me embarrassed to be puerto rican.
There is much admiration for JuanMa, but the truth is his resume is very thin. You need only look at the records of the fighters he has KTFO? the majority have terrible records. I would say that with the exception of his last two opponents the rest have been total cans. Now lets look at Juan Ponce Deleon, he was considered one of the least skilled belt holders in boxing, a total mummy who could hit. Penalosa was much too small and old to seriously contend on a physical level with JaunMa. Add a bigger younger version of Penalosa, with some starch in his gloves and we might have seen something. I like JuanMa dont get me wrong, but the Hype is getting a little ahead of itself around here. Fans need to wait a bit before we proclaim him the Holy Rican grail. as far as pure boxing Iron boy is number one too bad he cant punch and his style is not one that excites anyone but the purists but as far as pure boxing skill Calderon is #1 However, Puerto Rico's best Fighter today is Miguel Cotto!
I voted for Calderon, because I still think Cotto has questions to answer about his chin and heart. He has the potential to surpass the other guys. JuanMa is, as yet, an up-and-comer, not an established name like the other two.
right now is cotto, but EL MATADOR say juanma is more popular than cotto tn PR. (EM, pls correct me if im wrong.)
