Puerto Rica has a population of less than 4 million, but clearly punches above its weight in boxing.

Who is the best Puerto Rican?
Where does Cotto stand in the list?

    Currently: Miguel Cotto

Though JuanMa could over-take him, he has superstar potential, and could win titles up to 135 I think and beat the best along the way.

    All-time: Probably Carlos Ortiz.

Currently I would obviously say Cotto.

Then Calderon for me, with Juanma very slighty behind him.

All time i guess is Gomez.

I know a fighter named Escobar is(was) real popular in PR., even though he lost quite a few fights

Sixto Escobar your right. And popular for a reason being he was Puerto Rico's first world remain, and remained their only champ for a while before Carlos Ortiz came along.
