Calzaghe is not a fighter he is more of a boxer.
if we are going by pure fighter which means they box like a street fighter i would have to say the most succesful is probably Edison Miranda.

Right now? Pavlik, the guy banged hard with Miranda and then fought and beat Jeramin twice.

 

IF you mean someone who throws hundreds of punches wildly and hits so hard.....definitely Pacquiao.

 

I'm confused what the hell we are talking about. The best "pure" boxer are guys like Mayweather, Guzman, Mijares, JMM, etc. But if we are talking about a guy who is just not afraid to fight anyone anywhere then I would go with Miranda, Pavlik, Mosley, etc

 

To me, it means guys who don't have elite level boxing skills, but still are able to be very effective with their styles because of their heart, mental strength, nonstop punching, great stamina, ability to stay focused while fighting with a cut or getting schooled, etc. I think there are two levels of this: the top level "pure fighters" who have solid technical skills (Pacquiao, Vazquez) and then guys like Arce/Barrios who don't have very solid boxing skills, but are extremely tough fighters who still manage to be very effective against top 10 ranked fighters.

Vladimir Klitschko, has the skils, talent and can knock you out whenever he wants to.

Vitali Klitscko is truly awesome. He will knock out the winner of Oleg/Peter fight. Don King is doing all he can to cheat Oleg, but Vitali will take care of the winner. Don King will do all he can to keep Peter away from Vitali or Vlad.

 

For me it's actually easy.
