Just change the topic name to, Whos the best heavyweight form the former USSR. Wouldn't stress you as much
Is Wladimir not Russian?? Technically he's Ukranian, but that was former USSR. Unless there's some techical/ethical restriction?? Wladimir is clearly the man right now:good
You are not only a complete moron - you are a pencil-necked dip****. Pull your head out of your ass, ******.
If you want to be technical yes. Klitchko is Ukrainian but he falls under the russian category too. So my pick right now is Klitchko or Sultan.
I am not sure if Sasha Povetkin is that gifted and boxing smart to match the best out there, he may fail to adjust to Chris Byrd's stance and approach but in case he doesn't, Wlad will have a much better opposition in him than against both Byrd and Brock... Chagaev is mostly one european based boxer but that's not a disadvantage and I believe he's much stronger and heavy handed than Iggy or Sasha ( Povetkin not Dimitrenko). I think honestly that this thread blurs more than anything else cause we are talking about different fighters who evolved professionally in different environments, Povetkin, Dimitrenko and Chagaev in Europe, Iggy, Maskaev in the US... Alexander Zolkin was not a fighter with a characteristic russian style but he was very gifted, possibly as technically sound as Wlad but he couldn't prevail.
Question for all you guys - Are there any other Eastern European heavyweights that have potential??? I'm talking about heavyweights that are just starting out - with maybe five or six fights - that you feel are talented and capable of moving up the ranks. If you have additional info, such as height, reach, age, boxing style, etc., please post it. Thanks, very interested in hearing about future heavy contenders.

I am growing weary of all these god damn injuries. At least you can count on Sultan to show up and fight. Although , his opponents always seem to keep getting sick ( Briggs twice) and injured (Chagaev). God willing , HGHfield doenst get in trouble for buying drugs, or tear a muscle do to drug use, or something.
