With Frank as his promoter that is highly doubtful.

No chance Billy, because of he who shall not be named.

Buchanan was just better than Burns, though that's nothing to be ashamed of.

I'd wager that Allegedly would shudder at the thought of putting Burns in with prime versions of any of Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao or Barrera.... and Duran was better than any of those.

Yeah mate the Buchanan - Watt fight was real close. Watt dragged Ken into a war, being dragged into a war was one of Kens flaws, he could mix it with the best of them but was far better sticking to his boxing. Ken was past his best at the time he faught Watt, Watt was just before his prime. If it was prime for prime, Ken would have outboxed Jim in a tough fight. Watt was no mug.

Will Ricky get the fights to achieve that huge feat tho Billy? I rate Ricky high talent wise, he's seriously underrated but Ken and Benny were both rare talents, two of the best britian has ever produced. Is there even a fighter out there Ricky can face better than Laguna? I think its impossible Ricky can top Kens win over Laguna! Beating Broner certainly wont. Beating Marquez in mexico might top it tho
Ken frustrated the **** out of one of the greatest p4p fighters of all time. I know Ricky's tough as nails but could he have lasted 13 rounds with the legendary Hands Of Stone?

I hope your right tho Billy, all the best to you and the Rickster this year mate :good

I think people are refering to Burns getting a couple of Big fights and coming out the winner. So from an achievement place (SO WRONG), many people would start calling Ricky Scotland's greatest. EVEN IF it happens it is still so far from the accurate truth that this is all to often one of the most damaging indiscretions afforded in boxing today.

there were simply better Era's & better fighters and a far greater talent pool to choose from during those times, even in Scotland, never mind the entire Globe.

Burn's isn't even the best to come from his home town nevermind Scotland.
Gilroy & Lafferty have already been mentioned, but there was also, McGoldrick, Clements, little Joe Connelly and others too.

That will still leave Ricky nowhere near Buchanan or Lynch.

achievements alone DON'T automatically spell the Best or greatest. Simple factors like ERA's, Competion in those Era's, Longievity at the Top in those Era's, Certain Weight Division in certain Era's and such things. ALL of these factors best define Who the absolute Best are.

Ricky is excellent, I'm a believing fan and IF given the chance I'm expecting the World to be his.

But Scotland's best fighter ever, there's a couple/few dozen much better than Burns, happy to report.
