Is it Floyd Mayweather Jr, Charley Burley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Benny Leonard, Willie Pep, Gene Tunney or someone else?

Who do you think and why?

I think Tunney is as good a pick as anyone for someone that made all his moves perfectly or close to it. Low hands though. He'd be my pick off that list I guess.

Pep is fundamentally sound, so yeah i've got no problem with that pick either. I don't know if i'd describe him exactly in the terms the OP meant though, but he'll be the judge of that I guess.

What I mean is, Pep didn't box all that correctly.

Wouldn't technical just mean best technique, not just a strict kind of textbook style?

Then the answer would automatically become the most successful boxer in the replying poster's eyes, wouldn't it?

Corbett for the old guys. His technique most of the time came right out of the old manuals.
