Yeah it's unfortunate they never happened, but I guess this can be said about many of the past greats, if not most. There's always a chink in the armor that can be exploited. I guess it depends on how much they dislike a particular fighter, cause we see that even the most revered ATGs suffer such scrutiny.

I mean, there was a guy on here the other day using the fact that it took Chuvalo 13 rounds to land a single decent shot to Ali's chin, to support his view that Ali was overrated defensively!

What do you do with a statement like that LOL the dislike is so blinding that people will undermine their own arguments, just to get in a negative jab at a fighter. Strange.

Inoue was featured on a Chocolatito undercard on HBO because Arum was building that fight that up. Before that, Roman turned down an Inoue fight saying he wanted more money. Then Chocolatito got knocked out and Estrada/Cuadras/SSR were dealing with their mandatory situation.

Inoue would have KO'd the lot of them in one-sided affairs. Too big, fast, strong, skilled, hard hitting.

He should have done it then. And is there a receipt for an actual negotiation between Inoue and Gonzalez or was it just chatter?

They tried to make it. Roman said the money wasn't enough.

"I've been offered a fight with Inoue, but with a low purse, which does not suit me. The problem is the purse. It all depends on the people from HBO."

Pac is so overrated. Lucky punch. Lying there like a dead fish.

Zahir Raheem might disagree with your assessment of Morales.

As far as skillset Inoue clearly..........if that's what's being asked, even refined Pac you wouldn't point to and say "look at his skillset". Pac is a specimen however, the likes of what may never be seen again. Inoue won't duplicate that.

I recall Inoue appearing to shrug off the notion of Pacquaio ever being an inspiration for him growing up in Boxing due to being Asian, though i called it & wasn't surprised at his reaction.

At the risk of jumping in the middle of a Filipino-Inoue fan war, I believe the Japanese standout has the superior boxing skill-set. The kid's punch placement is absolutely brilliant, for example.

Pac was nothing short of a physical phenomenon, however. His level of competition, moreover, is unlikely to be surpassed.

Asia in general has had a history of not getting along with each other. It seems to date back to WW2. Most Filipinos nowadays do get along with other Asians including Japan. Asian Americans tend to always stick together.

Yup & even when i saw Inoue's interview going back a year or so i knew even before he spoke it would not be very complimentary even if so as a formality, though at that time Casmiero being signed to MP promotions displaying his antics probably rubbed him off more & swayed him even further in his response, that's life.
