Whoever votes for a heavyweight who dries out to 175 ... and who still has only managed to stop 15 light heavyweights ... should be banned for being a troll.

I know. That's where Wilder won the Bronze medal. Same division where Beterbiev was #1 in the world.

I'm fully aware of the weights. And saying Beterbiev only dries out 20 pounds for his light heavyweight weigh-ins isn't helping his case, either. Because he can just as easily add five pounds and fight heavyweights.

But he won't BECAUSE IT'S EASIER for a former #1 HEAVYWEIGHT to knock out light heavys than give up 40 pounds to fight Luis Ortiz or 70 pounds to fight Tyson Fury.

Again, this isn't helping Beterbiev's case that he's the better knockout artist.

Just because Beterbiev fought at heavyweight in the amateurs that doesn't mean he was a full sized amateur heavyweight.
Just like Andre Ward wasn't a full sized light heavyweight when he fought at 178 in Athens. And Ward won Olympic gold unlike Beterbiev who didn't win an Olympic or world championship medal when he was an amateur heavyweight. Exactly how was Beterbiev #1 when Usyk beat him twice at the biggest stage?

Ward had a career at 168 in the pros, he also had some fights at 175. But keep in mind the difference between these two divisions is 7 pounds. You want Beterbiev to fight at heavyweight which is a nonsense. You would make more sense if you demanded him to fight at cruiser. But still the difference between these two divisions is 25 pounds, which means he would be outsized at cruiserweight.

HE WAS THE #1 HEAVYWEIGHT IN THE WORLD in the amateurs when he stepped in the ring to fight Usyk in 2011.

He'd didn't just "fight" there. (LOL) He was the top rated amateur heavyweight in the whole WORLD. He wasn't struggling or barely getting by. He was #1.

Jesus. Quit making excuses for him.

He's a weight bully. THE ULTIMATE weight bully.

I can't think of any other top-rated amateur heavyweight in the last century who moved down to Light Heavyweight instead of fighting at heavyweight.

Can you? NO. So accept it.

    Ask AIBA.

Beterbiev was rated #1 when they fought the first time and Usyk had replaced him at #1 when they fought the second time.

Btw, Artur was p4p#1 in 2010, when he was fighting at LHW, not a HW!
Once he moved to HW he beat Michael Hunter, Yunior Dorticos and some other big guys. I strongly believe that he won against Usyk in 2012 - he delivered much more clean heavy shots and hurt Usyk, however referees where in favor of Usyk.

How the hell is Beterbiev a weight bully when Gvozdyk was the same size as him? That doesn't make sense.
I don't know how you got the idea that Beterbiev was the #1 heavyweight in 2011. Beterbiev fought at LHW in 2010 and won the European Championship. Now what has Beterbiev achieved in one year after that so he could become the #1 heavy? Because he didn't even win a medal at that weight.

YES. Beterbiev was #1 at heavyweight when he fought Usyk in 2011. Usyk was rated lower top 10 going into their first meeting.

I just posted the video. They state it before the bell.

BECAUSE HE WAS. That's how I got the idea.

I don't know why you can't click on the video link and listen to the announcers. I tried to make this as easy as humanly possible, and you still won't accept it.

I don't accept it, because you are citing AIBA ranking which is just as trash as the rankings of the alphabet organizations. A boxer cannot be #1 at a weight he didn't win a medal, that is just common sense.
And you still ignore how Beterbiev was a weight bully when he fought Gvozdyk who was the same size as him.

You don't accept it? Those are the amateur ratings. (LOL) Which amateur ratings do you follow?

Now you're just refusing to accept facts? Got it.

When people come out and state they refuse to accept facts, then I'm out.

Beterbiev was the #1 rated amateur heavyweight in the world in 2011. He was one of the top heavyweights in the world the entire time he competed in that division as an amateur.

Wilder fought in the same division and was never rated #1.

Now Wilder is fighting 270 pounders. And Beterbiev is fighting light heavyweights.

And Wilder has nearly three times as many knockouts as Beterbiev over far bigger men.

Ratings entering the 2011 World Championships.

    At heavyweight: #1. Artur Beterbiev.

Huge LOL at Dubblechin saying Beterbiev should fight at HW. You are clueless my friend.

Do you think any current HW contenders could cut weight to 175? What you're saying makes absolutely no sense. He was severely undersized as a HW in the amateurs.

He is actually an average sized LHW, everyone can see that except you.

He barely weighs 190lb walking around.

    Barely a cruiserweight.

    Heavyweight(!)

Let's just make things up, shall we?
