Two bay area fighters. Both highly skilled, both in excellent condition, both with endless tricks up their sleeves, both young and in the prime of their careers, and both with very high boxing IQ's. Just curious which one you folks out there think is better, pound-for-pound. Not solely based on each's accomplishments, but based on what you see with your own two eyes when watching each fight, as well.

hard to say. Before the Bika and Sidorenko fights I would've said Ward. But tbh I expected Ward to grind out a stoppage against Bika and Donaire has a shitload of power behind those punches.

    Donaire

I like Donaire but still expect SOG to win this tourney!

Hmm just realized Donaire is kind of at a crossroads there... which country is he really repping?

Did you see Donaire last night? DAMN! Complete and utter domination. He moved up in weight and was still the bigger fighter. The conventional wisdom was that Donaire would outbox Sidorenko to a 12 UD. Not even close. Sidorenko couldn't stay on his fight through 4 rounds as he was battered all over the place, and dropped viciously at least twice.

There is no argument, Donaire is definitely the bigger puncher, at his weight, and maybe even a couple weights higher.

Donaire-Montiel is a matchup of tow top ten pound-for-pound fighters in my opinion. This fight is as big to me as any other out there.

honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Donaire dominates the **** out of Montiel. It won't be as easy as Sidorenko but it could happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Montiel pulls out.

He was born in the Philippines and came to the bay area at age 10, give or take. If you listne to him talk, his English is better than most people who speak English and English only. As far as boxing goes, the Donaire's are 100% bay area.

I guess he can flip-flop to his advantage. For instance, when they had that last Filipino vs. Mexican card, no doubt he was Filipino that night.

I think you underestimate Montiel, as many do. He's a vicious little ****er. Believe that. SRL-like skills with one punch KO power.

But maybe you know something I don't.
