    Well who is it?

This is a hard one for me.

Chang is very aggresive and has a high workrate that lets him boss opponents and iw ould call taht ring generalship. He also has a good eye for distance and manages to stay at a good distance for him.

Gushiken is your more classical ring general. He is one of the best guys i have ever seen at keeping distance with good footwork. He also always seems to controll an opponent using his movement and combinations.

So who you got? and explain why.

Too different IMO. Chang COULD box, switch-hit etc etc but as has been said before he just 'walked thrugh styles'.

Gushiken was great at setting the pace, keeping it at what range he desired. But Changs ability to smash through aggressive types as well as boxers...........I'd have to say him.

Difficult question mainly as they're great in different ways. In a matchup between the two, Chang walks through Yoko late IMO

As I say, for me 'ring generalship' is someone who keeps it where they want it, nullifying his opponents strengths and having it his own way regardless of the opponents style.

Whether Chang's all-out whirlwind could be described as that I don't know. I've always seen him boss things from mid-range to set up his attacks, so, yeah, he was damn good. I say Chang.

I agree with Flea, both are completely different fighters.

Gushiken is a rhythmic fighter in a correct textbook sense. All about mastery of the fundamentals and slowly breaking fighters down.He did occasionally look slow to get his punches off or frustated in fights, often against the ones less willing to fight him at the correct mid-distance for his counters.

Chang was 100% instinctive, maybe the closest thign to what Duran could have become had he not taken the more technical counterpunching route he did.HIs lesser performances seemed more to do with losing sharpness because of his lifestyle, not because he was struggling to figure out styles.

Rather than going in depth with an analysis i'm going to keep it with my gut instinct and natural reaction. Chang a better fighter overall but Gushiken is the most complete stylistically this weight class has seen imo. The epitome of a ring general.

    Yoko Gushiken for me.

Agreed with what I've highlighted 100%. He seemed to sit down on his punches more and make single shots more hurtful than trying to swarm his opponents from multiple angles, I believe because he'd left his stamina in the clubs he was partying in.

Yoko over Jung Koo, even if Jung may beat him in a fight.

    Basically these.

Chang did do better versus a variety of styles though, whilst Yoko was supreme textbook. Though Yoko always struggled inside.
