Its posts like this that ruins this site, Mayweather and Hoya fought at 154 a weight Mayweather should of never even seen, in a smaller ring with 10 ounce heavy weight gloves, Imagine Mayweather v Hoya at 147 with 8 oz gloves, amd a normal ring. You telling me that the fight would of looked the same, Mayweather stops Hoya at that weight easy...real easy, he rocked Hoya leaning against the ropes, going backwards with an arm punch. Mayweather destroys, Hoya at 147. Then you say Judah tagged him with some good shots, in what fight maybe 1 shot in the first round and one shot in the second round, then what happened Mayweather won every other round going away, Corley staggered him ok so what, in the same round Corley staggered him Floyd came back and won that round easy. Castillo didnt defeat ****, quit talking out of somebody else mouth, Floyd knocked Castillo down in the second it was ruled a slip yeah right. Floyd did enough in the first 6 rounds and in the championship rounds to take the fight easy, go back and watch the fight without sound, if you watched it all. But what does Mayweather getting hit have to do with anything, every fighter gets hit, Sweet pea didn't have no ****ing power, Instead of comparing apples to oranges compare the facts. You saying Mayweather loses head to head in a fight against Sweet pea, Hell no Mayweather has a longer reach, taller, faster, could fight outside or destroy sweet pea inside. Mayweather 8-4

Whitatker is also an ATG and is placed higher than Floyd. Both are incredible but Sweet Pea has more substance with regards to his ring career. The only think Floyd has over Whit is that he's undefeated....but Pernell would be undefeated too if he had the kind of names on his resume that Floyd had...minus DLH who was prime and at his all time best when he beat a fading Pernell.

I say Whitaker, the man was one of the best boxers of any era, I think its a lot closer than most seem to think it is between them tho, I rank Mayweather extremely high & in a h2h I think Whitaker wins a close one & maybe takes 7/10 fights.

Mayweather still has time tho, I have a feeling he hasnt even been pushed to his absolute limit yet, if he is forced to reach a higher level vs Pac & produces what he `might` be capable of, this question becomes a bit harder.

For now tho, I say Pernell Whitaker.

AHAHAHAHAA!!!! You clown! DLH at 154 was already on the slide...fighting 1 time a year and not at his best weight of 147.. Floyd struggled with a very good version of DLH but not the best. It was Floyd's best win outside of the Corales victory. But to say Floyd would have beaten a PRIME DLH at 147 when he struggled to win a SPLIT decison against a faded DLH at 154 is COMICAL!:rofl Not to even bring up the horse **** that Floyd would dominate! Man.....get Floyd's sack out of your hole.

  9. yes. hearing someone say Mayweather stops DLH at welterweight makes me giggle like a 12 year old girl.

    you're a **** poster man.

  10. He's not only saying that Floyd beats a good DLH at welter, he's say he "stops him..real easy". :yep:-(

Ring Size, Glove size, weight...excuses excuses....

If Floyd did enough to beat Castillo why did his trainer tell him you need to win the last 2 rounds?

This is where resume comes in. floyd doesn't have the resume. If Floyd beats Manny then we will never hear the end of Floyd or the Floyd fans gloating

I could agree with this! Very good post! I still lean slightly towards Sweat....I think he was more of an active offensive fighter with less power, but more offensive qualities.
