Gonna use Celebheights.com for their heights as people are known to exaggerate their heights (Fury claiming 6'9)

    Anthony Joshua - 6'5 3/4
    Tyson Fury - 6'7 1/2

AJ weight from last fight - 252 lbs
Fury weight from last fight - 277 lbs

Lowest recent weight (last 6 years)

AJ lowest 237 lbs vs Ruiz 2
Fury lowest 254 lbs vs Wallin

I'm gonna argue, despite Fury having 1 1/2 inches of height on AJ, and 20 lbs.. Joshua is actually the 'bigger' guy as he is mostly muscle mass and Fury, fat. Fury was rag dolled in the clinch vs Ngannou whereas Joshua looked sturdy and matched him strength wise.

Why does this matter? People are acting like Fury's size is an insurmountable task for Usyk when I feel he's already fought someone just as big. Fury actually looks lean for Usyk, in 255-260 lbs range.

Fury's biggerin reach and height, factors which have some relevance. He's a better outboxer than AJ and I think that if he were able to keep Usyk at range he'd have an advantage. Certainly I have some sympathy for the muscle mass argument since it makes a difference to durability and punching power.

Ngannou and AJ only clinched a few times.

The early clinches between Fury and Ngannou looked the exact same. It was only later on when Ngannou decided to use the clinch offensively that the strength difference became apparent.

It does not matter who the bigger man is,as in the ring where it counts Joshua simply can not fight as the bigger man !

Joshua was naturally quite a skinny kid and still has quite narrow shoulders and small hands.

Fury, by contrast, is a genuinely much bigger man - his legs, his body, arms, are all much thicker set and we've seen him balloon up to 24 stone (over 330 pounds), and he's much taller than Joshua too.

Genetically, Fury is the bigger guy.

    Why was that? :D
The strength difference between Fury and AJ is huge, and it's in favor of AJ.
And Fury actually should have easier time as the fight progress as he is supposed to have a better cardio than Ngannou, right?
But he was thrown around like a sack of potatos.

But you know, we wouldn't have need to guess if Fury was an actual "fighting man" and fight AJ. He could have done that already though.

As far as the thread Fury is obviously bigger, but when it comes to strength levels, AJ is miles ahead of Fury.

Fury's looking good. For the first time in years. This will not be an easy one for Usyk.

He is flexing really hard in every single photo he has been posting. He is also staying on his toes to look bigger in most of the pictures, which is clear a lack of confidence.
I mean people got the wrong nickname for AJ, as Fury in just this week looks like a bodybuilder. Posting almost identical images from his bath, flexing like a Bodybuilder, just that his body looks terrible still. :D
Yeah he obviously have a better appearance shape, but let's see if that will be functional shape.
And his shape still doesn't bother me at all, as Usyk has already faced guys that work million time harder than Fury, and comes in insane shape against Usyk and still lost.
I think AJ in the second fight was trained to the max of every possible way, and still lost quite handy.

I just hope this ain't just pretending for Fury, and he pulls out in the last minute and say, but look i was in great shape. :D

I've seen tyson up and close and personal

    10 inches flacid no exaggeration

This is why he has 9 kids and AJ only has 1

    They’re both kinda skinny really.

AJ at 6’6” had to pump himself up with muscle to hit 240+. That is not a big framed guy. Pumped up AJ would be the skinniest forward on any rugby field.

No-one even knows what chicken legs Fury’s “in-shape” weight is because he’s always been fat. We do know that a less-than-lean Fury got down to 247lb for Klitschko.

Wilder, AJ, Fury are all gangly basketball players basically. Wilder stayed in basketball shape, AJ buffed up, Fury ate.

Fury is the taller and lankier guy, and a bit bigger framed too. He's prone to putting on fat though, which makes him heavier than he ought to be.

Joshua isn't naturally that big for his height, quite a skinny guy with narrow shoulders as another poster pointed out. His bulk is almost all due to PEDs (and I'm a fan of Joshua before anyone wants to have a go at me).
