Who is the bigger puncher - Alexander Povetkin or Dillian Whyte?

Prime Povetkin easy

 

"Shot" Povetkin made him The Sleeping Beauty with one punch.

Povetkin is the only answer.

 

Both can hit, but Povetkin had much better technique with which to harness his power.

 

His association with aj early on gave whyte a career he would have dreamt of otherwise.

Pov all round better , in every way.

 

Povetkin is the better puncher, but Whye is probably the bigger puncher.
Povetkin can throw tighter more precise shots, Whyte loads up more.

Povetkin is on another level. If they fought in their prime Whyte would be asleep in the first round

Povetkin is the better puncher, both explosively and mechanically. Whyte is just physically stronger.

 

Like a few up there said. Both are huge punchers, Whyte probably has more power though, but Povetkin is a FAR better puncher

 

Its raw power vs timing. I prefer Povetkin.

 

As per the general consensus here really, and assuming peak for peak.

Whyte has the raw horse power advantage, whereas Povetkin has the better punch mechanics and timing not to mention a better boxing brain and footwork positioning with which to utilise it all.

Hence he sent the Brixton fella to the promised land in the first fight.

 

I guess Whyte has more power, but Povetkin's technique, accuracy and timing makes it that he probably delivers the harder punch.
