    Surprised people saying Povetkin.

Prime Pov far better boxer and would slaughter Whyte, but Whyte is a bigger puncher definitely in terms of power.

    Prime Pov KO 2.

Whyte is definitely not the bigger puncher.

Whyte can load up and unleash pretty devastating combinations, but when does he ever send high quality opposition to sleep with one punch? Povetkin, past his best and torn up by half a dozen tough fights, did exactly that to Whyte, he did it to David Price, Takam.

Whyte, outside the bums you KO early in a heavyweight career, has Ko'd Chisora after an 11 round slog, Lucas Brown who was bested by Dave Allen, and held together by sticky-tape Povetkin, but even that wasnt a clean KO.

Povetkin is the bigger and better puncher and leagues ahead of Whyte in terms of both their prime's.

    Raw power? It's Dillian Whyte

Pov however is the better puncher... sets his shots up better, doesn't load up etc

He KO'd chisora with one big punch. Who else in the world could do that? Wilder only maybe?

    Could Povetkin have done that?

Which is the faster car, a Ferrari or one of those murican muscle cars with the supercharger intakes that look like garbage cans?

On the salt flats the Demonator3000 is going to kick ass, but introduce a track with bends in it and the Ferrari leaves it in the dust.

... so where am I going with this?

Well, I feel like boxing is more like a twisty track.

I'd argue that Whyte would hit a heavy bag harder but in an actual boxing match Povetkin will land sooner and better and more.

This. POV all round easily, but for pure weight of a punch, Whyte

Maybe, I'd have to watch the fight again, but my recollection is that Chisora is absolutely gassed and looks set to go down, when Whyte eventually delivers and puts him down.

Pov's KOs are simply more decisive imo.
