Brad Pitt's movies do better box office numbers than Paris Hilton's though.

What kind of point are you trying to make, Benjamin?

I'm not gonna spin anything. Floyd has a higher average but fights less often on PPV. Pac has a lower average but fights more often on PPV.

Overall, Pac has sold more PPVs than Floyd. Maybe if Pac fought less often, he would sell more. Maybe if Floyd fought more often, he would sell less.

It's not like we can compare exactly. It's not like all of Floyd's fights outsell all of Pac's fights and that Floyd has sold more PPV's than Pac.

It's up for debate. Pac has sold more PPV's than Floyd. Some of Pac's fights outsell some of Floyd's fights. Floyd's average is higher than Pac's average. Pac fights more often on PPV than Floyd does.

You can debate it either way. I figure that comparing Pac vs Margarito to Floyd vs Marquez is as fair a comparison as it gets, and I said that before the Pac v Margarito numbers came out.

    Total buys - Pac (7.5 in 12 fights to 6.8 in 7)
Avg per fight - Mayweather (970k-625k)
Vs Common opponents - Mayweather (4.3-2.5)
    Recent fights - Mayweather (2.4-1.85)

Why did you exclude Pac vs Cotto from Pacquiao's recent fights. Pac vs Cotto is more recent than Floyd vs Marquez

Pac vs Cotto and Pac vs Margo sold as much as Floyd vs Marquez and Floyd vs Mosley, and on top of that Pac sold an extra 700K against Clottey while Floyd sold nothing.

Don't talk to me about spin when you are the one spinning recent fights yet excluding Pac vs Cotto and including Floyd vs Marquez. Like I said, Pac vs Cotto is MORE RECENT than Floyd vs Marquez.

Since Floyd has come out of retirement, Pac has outsold him 3.1M to 2.4M

Pac is well known, well followed in whole of Asia . . . not only by boxing pundits but also by people who don't even watch boxing.

Don't play dumb. It's obvious that I just used their last two fights.

If you insist, let's look at last 5 fights so we can include Cotto. I'm even including the Pac-DLH and May-Baldomir fights here to try to even it up; if I stop at 4 it's even more tilted in Mayweather's favor:

    Mayweather - 6.06MM
    Pacquiao - 5.2MM

When Floyd fought Oscar and Hatton, back in 2007, he was a bigger draw than Pac in the USA. But after Pac fought Oscar, it evened out. Pac vs Hatton only sold about 75K less US PPV's than Floyd vs Hatton, and that was a no-longer undefeated version of Hatton (like it or not undefeated adds to the hype).

Since Pac beat Hatton, bar the numbers from the Clottey fight which was against a no-name short notice opponent, Pac has sold at the same average as Floyd, while remaining more active. That to me shows that he is a bigger draw.

You keep sidelining the fact that Pac's career PPV sales are above Floyd's, saying that Floyd's average is higher.

Floyd's average is also higher than Oscar de la Hoya's. Is Floyd a bigger draw than Oscar de la Hoya was?

    It doesn't work like that.

Bottom line is that like Oscar, Pac has generated more $$ IN AMERICA than Floyd has.

My job requires me to travel frequently, about 25% of the year. Usually within the Canada/US but 2-3 times a year I will travel to various parts of Europe and/or Asia.

Quebec amazes me every time. Montreal, Quebec City, Tremblant, etc are all unreal for caliber of broads. :deal
