For example… Patterson would beat Butterbean but obviously he isn’t very good so a win over say Ingo is better, If you’d for some reason think he’d beat Lennox Lewis that’s the sort of answer you’d go with over someone who was a 300lbs 7ft “can” it’s a combination of “good” and “big”

It’s difficult to say because he simply didn’t fight that many people who both big AND good. I suppose I’d give him a good shot at beating Ernie Terrell and other big heavy’s within that similar range of size and ability level

    6'3" Larry Holmes.

I think he has the style to beat him.

I think Patterson could beat men like Berbick, Thomas, Tubbs, Page, Carl Williams etc. Not saying he always would, but those are the types of big men I can see him beating. Also guys like Lyle, Shavers, Cleveland Williams, Mike Weaver. Guys who were big punchers but not the most skilled. Although Patterson wouldn't be an automatic gimme in those fights.

I am not sure if he is the best Floyd Patterson could beat, but, for some reason, I immediately thought of Primo Carnera, who certainly was big.

I think Buddy and Max could potentially just steam roll him if they were on and wanted to fight…

Biggest I would say Michael Grant, though he wasn’t the best big fighter. He might outbox Briggs, Foreman during comeback reign, Joshua, Parker, Holmes that lost to Spinx and Tyson.

Jameel McCline is probably the best answer.

    Honorable mention: Big John Tate?

Michael Dokes, Jimmy Ellis, some might say he’d beat Jimmy Young, I think most would favour Patterson against Young.

Floyd could beat anyone, very fast, great defense, outstanding boxer, hard puncher, sharp shooter and doesn't waste punches. Joe Louis would have a real problem. Ingemar got a payday to build up the gate for their next fight, with Jack Dempsey picking Ingemar to win the 2nd fight. This is the way it is, all about fixing the odds and making Ingmar the favorite.
