Since we have a lot of duckers and cowards in the sport today. I'll go with Peter Quivering. He is a disgrace and should have his licence taken away. Followed very closely by Stevenson who is blatantly terrified of Kov.
Coward is a strong word. Roy Jones is yesterday's news. Notice what 4 of the other 5 have in common? Al Haymon. Andre Ward fought the best he is on a legal dispute. Floyd fought very good competition but has been well managed. Wilder is Fraud. For me Stevenson and quillon should get the most votes.
Why? What other word can you use to describe Peter Quivering who dropped his title and the biggest payday of his career to avoid a tough opponent? Or Stevenson who ran to another network to avoid Kov. There's no other word for it than cowardice. Maybe it's too strong a word for Floyd. But the ducking that Quivering and Stevenson have done is disgraceful and the Bronze Bummer faked visa issues to avoid the fearsome Derek Chisora.
Stevenson running away from Kov goes way beyond ducking. He's **** scared of him. Plus he beats up women in his spare time. Hardly the actions of a brave man.
Floyd has ducked SEVERAL top-level opponents, whereas the other guys on your list have only ducked one. Floyd avoided Paul "The Punisher" Williams, Antonio Margarito, prime Miguel Cotto, Kostya Tszyu, and Manny Pacquiao, all of whom were n.1 in Floyd's division. Quillin has only been ducking Golovkin. Andre Ward only ducked Lucian Bute. Adonis Stevenson is only ducking Kovalev. Wilder should get a free pass because he's an up-and-comer and top fighters have shown no interest in fighting him. I have no idea why Jones is on the list. He ducked a lot of guys in the past, but now he's to ancient for us to expect him to fight top-tier guys.
Tough one. Probably Floyd As for those giving it the predictable generic "oooooo you cant call a boxer a coward" - yes you bloody well can A boxer like Froch and a boxer like Quiliiin Mayweather or Stevenson are on polar opposite ends of the bravery scale FOR BOXERS You expect all these sort of threads to have some sort of a disclaimer?? "I hereby understand that just to be a boxer in the first place requires a tremendous amount of bravery - far more than the average person - but by "coward" i mean in comparison with other boxers, so puhleeeeease dont take it the wrong way"
whoever has been ducking ward for the last 3 years, citing shoulder surgery and promotional disputes as excuses.
