Tyson. By a LOT. People don't realize he was the most photographed man in the world for several years. Tyson reached a level of fame that no other sports star has ever reached. Ali doesn't come close. Remember: most people aren't boxing fans. All boxing fans know Ali and Tyson - almost everyone in the world knew who Tyson was at one point.
"Gue See Singsiam Chin Tepyotin" is a pretty big name, "Eddie Mustafa Muhammad", or "Herbert Okechukwu Maduagwu"... :think
Its not even a matter of opinion. Its a fact. Ali is the most famous boxer of all time. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in the US past their mid twenties or so who don't know who Ali is. Abroad, those percentages might get lower, but are still very high compared to most athletes. Tyson is second. After that, its a crap shoot more or less. Depends a lot on ages, regrions, ect.
Ali & Elvis Ali & The Beatles Ali & Michael Jackson Ali & Reagan Ali & Henry Cooper Ali & Frazier Ali & King of Zaire Ali & etc..
Great list. I would throw Ray Leonard and Ray Robinson in there, maybe at the end. They were really famous and people went to see them fight anyone, even bums.
Holmes had NO personality. None. He's always criticizing the Klitschkos, but he's exactly the same as them. Nobody cares about that sort of champion.
