Despite his size, I honestly do think it's Pacquiao. I think he'd be the hardest hitter at 140 as well, though obviously nowhere near it up at 147. David Diaz was not a good fighter, but he was a tough fighter, and that was a brilliant KO by Pac. His power is excellent.

 

i voted for guzman because of a streak of people who rate him this high at 135 even though he haven't fought his fight yet. might as well rate him this early.

 

Pac isn't a power puncher at lightweight, given that he started off as a straw/light fly weight.

Valero's power can be carried up to 140 --

Pac still packs a mean wallop, but he's not a natural lightweight power puncher.

His power is still effective because of accurate hitting and volume punching, and timing.

That Diaz KO wasnt one of those things that true lightweight/welterweight power punchers produce. It wasnt like he truly willed it to happen with that final KO blow. He wasnt purposely looking to knock Diaz out with that one single punch, like what true LW KO artists do, especially when theyre badly losing and they need a KO to win.

It was more of Pac having the correct instincts to throw a counter after dodging a Diaz punch. Diaz's head was down when he threw the punch, so when Pac countered, Diaz never saw it coming.

BAM.

Excellent punch, but it wasnt the hardest punch I ever saw.

Well he didn't just KO him, he obliterated him in the most spectacular fashion one can imagine.

Plus knocking out 17 out of 19 tomato cans is impressive, especially for a light weight. We'll have to see more, but he's certainly not an unreasonable vote, in my opinion.

Pacquiao is certainly a dangerous banger, but he is above his natural weight class. Casamayor is more of a precise counter-puncher than a big hitter, and my impression is that Katsidis is more of a wear-you-down guy. Prescott is none of those.
