Maybe smith but even then I’m not sure, his style was pretty useless against punchers. If I had to pick one it would probably be Moorer
He could beat Briggs. Though this might strange, I actually give Norton an even chance against Steward-era Lewis. Lewis was far more cautious post-Rahman and I think (especially if he wasn't familiar with his style) Norton would have befoozled him for a SD 12. in his favor. I realize this will be a potentially, wildly unpopular view.
Yea most people including me would likely disagree. I can’t really see it going that way because if Lewis had trouble outboxing someone he would use his power which would be Norton’s weakness
I know, I don't blame you for doubting. I can see Ken pulling it off though. Like I said, Lewis not having a lot of foreknowledge about his style would have something to do with it. Strangely, I think Lewis would have stopped Ken in 4 or 5 rounds in the early 90s.
Yea early 90s Lewis probably has an easier time with Norton than the late 90s version, but as soon as any version plants his feet it’s most likely game over for Norton
Any version of LL KTFO of Norton. As would any top modern HW. The level of over rating of 70s era HWs on here is cringy. 13 years on here (15+ as a reader) and it's changed some, but the hero worship is still high. Parker, Chisora, Whyte, Pov, hell maybe Haye, many others would beat Norton on most nights.
I don't think prime Tyson would even have been heard of if he fought in the heavyweight division of 1898-1908
