I like Broner. . . I need to see Russell in with at least some B- level guys before you can really give him a proper analysis. . .

But thus far, Russell doesn't appear to have the reflexes, slickness, or defensive prowess as Broner. . He's just got very fast hands, and good pop, and more of a "basic" boxer/puncher style. . . Sometimes that's good, or sometimes it's bad, meaning he can't adjust on the fly. . .

We'll see. . Let's hope they don't coddle Russell for too long.

    I like them both.

But Broner is younger, more popular, and already a world champion. I believe he's about to headline his own card on hbo(could be wrong about that).

    What's the "olympian" Russell's problem?

Russell really needs to step up the level of his opponents before we can guage how good a pro he can be.

Broner has been through a few decent tests and learned a lot from them (especially the lucky decision he got against Ponce De Leon).

So I'll have to say Broner at this point although I'm not entirelyconvinced by him yet. When Russell fights a live opponent and shows what he can do then I might be forced to change my mind.

    Russell Jr.

Broner seems like he will be a bigger name though regardless
