Well buster Douglas was obviously a huge underdog, so to that effect it would rule out the one guy who I think would beat him soundly, Andre ward.

Now if Lara decided to campaign at 160 lbs for a few fights and he looks the same way he does at 154, I think he'd be a live dog in that match. He'd obviously have to be on his bicycle the entire fight, but if he had the perfect gameplan, was focused and avoided keeping his back on the ropes and sliding off of it like he normally does, than I'd think he'd have a decent shot to win a decision. He's a very crafty technician in the ring. Than again, GGG just might spark him out of there.

Also, I think Alvarez would be a live dog, but just like Lara, he'd have to campaign at 160 for a little bit and grow into the weight class.

I can't see any of the current MW's beating GGG though. Just a few live underdogs at 154 and than guys north of 160.

Holmes went on to fight a prime Holyfield and gave him a tough fight, winning rounds and making Holyfield looked bad.

Holmes also fought Mccall and gave a very good account of himself. Same Mcall who went to KO Lewis.

Holmes also beat the **** out of Ray Mercer and had a much easier time with him than Lewis or Holyfield did.

Holmes was a very good win for Tyson.

Holmes was also the same age Holyfield was.when he fought Lewis.

To me this is a tricky question because I feel Tyson lost to Douglas because he lost the discipline already. So to put it simply, I just don't think Tyson would have lost to Douglas had he maintain what was required for him to fight his best. Sure GGG could lose something overnight and get KO to someone like Proksa but GGG is still very much motivated and has goals to reach.

We're getting a little out of control here....refer to the hype surrounding Tyson prior to 2/11/90.

There is no buster Douglas around for Golovkin as Golovkin isn't living as Tyson did

Nobody can beat GGG, aside from father time

when all is said and done GGG will be regarded as the MW / SMW GOAT
which he already is, H2H wise

Why don't you check out for yourself how many of that list were junkies, drunks, or well past their best when Tyson beat them. Start with the " clean " ones, Holmes out of the ring for almost 2 years, and 38 years old.

    Spinks, Light Heavy.

Bruno, B minus fighter on a GOOD day, no technique, just strong and supremely fit.

    Bonecrusher, slightly better than Bruno.

Berbick, a real looney, not one who pretended he was to garner sympathy like Tyson does.

The rest , booze, drugs, or both.

You are probably not clever enough at one single thing to be autistic.

Were you crying about this lack of discipline when Tyson was smashing Spinks, Bruno and Williams in 1, 5, and 1 rounds respectively?

I doubt it. The reason I ask, is because only fvcking idiots, or Tyson nut hugging fan boys were UNAWARE that he was whoring around, doing drugs, and drinking for those fights equally as enthusiastically as he was when he came up against the first man to hit him back twice as often as he hit him, BUSTER.

The excuse are truly pathetic. Douglas decided to beat the sh it out of him, so he did. End of.

Do you seriously believe that Tyson was out shopping for clothes in the early hours of the morning the night he had the fight with Mitch Green in August 1988? Or do you think he was always in bed early , but just couldn't sleep that night? Ffs he was scheduled to fight Bruno in the October but had to put the fight back until Feb 89 due to injuring his hand in the skirmish, hardly the actions of a dedicated trainer with a fight coming up in 8 weeks is it?

So stop all the bullsh it excuses about he didn't train properly for that specific ( Douglas ) fight, the pr ick had been like that for at least 2 years previously.

Comparing Tyson and GGG in this manner is dumb on a number of levels.

Now you can tell that this clown loves Gennady Golovkin to death! He has thrown his boxing knowledge to the back burner, turned to Google, and thinks that his time machine has placed him at the time of these events lol...

No nerves to touch even if you tried. Tyson's early career/record is out there and GGG's is available as well. There is no competition and doesn't look like there will be any either.
