These days it's Pacquiao's award by default until someone takes the title from him. Floyd could've done it had he fought more than once.

With a win next week, it'd be Sergio.

How about Pac to fight Sergio next year to settle this once and for all.

Beating clottey is no big deal, especially when that clottey doesn't even throw a punch. Beating Margarito is also no big deal considering he got his ass kicked by a shane mosley.

Now Martinez in my opinion already beat Paul Williams I guy who has only lost once via decision and knocked the guy who decisioned him out in one round. If Martinez beats Williams again he should easily win fighter of the year.

Beating Clottey and Margarito doesn not qualify Pac to win the award. If he does it will be a travesty.

Expect Sergio Martinez or Jean Pascal to win it if they are victorious in their next fights. It will probably be Martinez.

I trully hope someone else wins it this year for boxing's sake. But Pacquiao's two fights where the result is 24 rounds to nil (opponents arent journeymen), it's a hard toll to beat.

    Pascal
    Martinez

Juanma deserves a mention IMO. Moved up and won a new title at the start of the year against a top 5 Featherweight, defended against a decent opponent and then Rafa Marquez.

It's going either be Martinez or Pascal which ever wins.

If both lose then it will be a toss-up between Pac and JML.
