I always thought that Hamed took a hella of beating in that fight. I've never seen the fight and by people's comments I thought there was a crazy beating.
However when I watched the fight, there is nothing close to a beating. it was a tactical fight which Barrera has clearly won. But there was no beat down.

Good post. I have Barerra ranked slightly higher also. I too think Barerra beat Morales all 3 times.

Erik Morales is the greatest Mexican fighter since Julio Cesar Chavez, Marco Antonio Barrera is 2nd.

    1. Regardless of how you scored their H2H trilogy I think its safe to say no significant superiority was shown.

    2. Morales was an ATG at 122 lbs, arguably the best ever outside of Wilfredo Gomez, Barrera cannot claim this in any division.

    3. Morales was never KO`d in his prime.

    4. Morales holds victories over 2 men that beat prime Barrera by KO, Junior Jones (TKO4) & Pacquiao (W12)

    5. Morales became the 1st Mexican born fighter to win titles in 4 divisions recently & even tho it was a vacant title vs 12 ranked Cano, it was the WBC crown & he bested (in most peoples eyes) Maidana in his previous fight who is every bit a top 140 lb fighter & recent champion at the weight (Erik was way past prime in doing this)... Erik was also robbed vs Diaz for the LW title so whichever way you look at it, the man is a 4 weight champion.

Morales is greater than Barrera :good

You don't even believe what you just wrote.
We'll do the math after more people give their opinions. Barerra showed total superiority over Morales in all 3 fights.

Barerra won the first, second, and third fight. That first fight was an HBO robbery.
