Yeah, I agree that in terms of overall greatness Hopkins is higher than Joe's tremendous career. Hopkin's career may eclipse everyones if he keeps winning significant fights like Dawson or even Adamek as he approaches age 50. That's just weird. I argued, as you noted, that head to head Calzaghe with his ungodly workrate, toughness and catlike reflexes outboxes any version of Bernard Hopkins. Only disagreement. I've got Vitali about 15 now of top heavy's. The guy is ruthless and as Chris Arreola has said just adjusts to anything his opponents bring at him. Chris was shocked at how well Vitali could fight of his back foot when he charged after Vitali in the middle rounds of their fight.

pudwill was a late stand in for thomas tate. sheika at the time was a prime, solid, and dangerous contender who gave it his all but still got beat up and stopped.

obviously sheika isn't as great as a lot of hopkins defences were...

segundo - who knocked him down twice and was robbed of the win.
segundo 2 - it's alright, he beat this great the second time of asking.
    andrew council
    morrade hakar
    carl daniels
simon brown - who lost every fight after. sheika included.
    wiliam bo james
    joe lipsey
    steve frank

with hopkins defending his title against this lot, it's not surprising most are saying his resume is much, much better than calzaghe's....

calzaghe although knocked down, was never hurt.

who gives a **** what the BBC say?

joe's corner were worried because it was away from home.

he had to have the rematch with veit because he was the NO.1 contender. either that or lose the belt.

he didn't take the offer for a rematch with hopkins because he was retired. RETIRED!!!

he didn't get the chance to fight for the other title's because everyone who had the other title's refused to fight him.

the fight with reid wasn't a gift decision. i had it 116 - 112 for calzaghe. what was your score?

oh calzaghe definitely struggled with jones....:rofl:rofl:rofl

you don't know much about joe do you? so shuuuuuush.

nezeem was also confident that mosley would beat mayweather and pac. of course he was going to say hopkins in the rematch. he's his trainer. it's his job to talk up his chances. :patsch
