    In a word heehoo...overrated

Take a look at some of the Galaxy threads and see why people think why. Just search for them.

Oh I can see why, he didn't fight the best competition, he didn't go all that much overseas, and he certainly doesn't rank higher than Hagler, Hearns, etc, etc. But his record speaks for itself, even if the opposition is poor, and, well, the guy could punch. Overrated? Sure. An ATG? Nonetheless.

I think thats debatable because Watanbe and Roman did not get anywhere near the same accolade for pretty much doing the same thing, at the same time.

Top asian fighter without a doubt but I wouldnt mention him in the same breath as Harada, Elorade or probably even Pac after he retires. Some would argue he isnt even the best Thai fighter ever.

So then would the likes of Watanabe, Roman, Moon, Konadu, etc be considered ATG's as well, considering they fought better opposition and appeared to be the more skilled fighters than the plodding Galaxy? Moon and Watanabe among Asians were both better and more accomplished fighters.

It is unfortunate they don't get mentioned in the same breadth (save of coirse, for Pac), but my guess would be it had mainly to do with Ring magazine rating him high because of his massive power.

A fighter like Galaxy pretty much didn't need the all-around skills, when most of his skill was pretty much his murderous left hand which he could land at any given time. He could box a little when he needed to. He didn't have the skills of a Watanabe, or an Elorade, but like I said, with his power, one punch KO power, he didn't really need it. It's just tod bad he only left Thailand a few times, and it's too bad he never faced great competition, but I stand my beliefs that no matter what anybody says, he's an ATG in my book. An ATG who never got to test his skills in America, or even Great Britain for that matter and showcase himself to a bigger audience and face better competition.

Not to mention, from what I understand, he didn't exactly have much of a choice as to who he fought. I'm sure he wanted to fight Watanabe, but Watanabe did not want to fight him, from what I understand.

Not to mention his fight with DLH on the 6th. which I'm confident he'll perform better than most predict.

galaxy's murderous power isn't enough when your facing elite competition. pac's case time and again illustrates that a power puncher needs to learn to box as well to stay at the elite level
