I seem to remember Green was doing really well. Until he seen the sight of his own blood. Then he froze in his tracks and Fletcher took over and poured it on, stopping Green.

I believe that fight was against Daniel Zaragoza, Who was also a bloody mess by the end of the fight.

Right, that's exactly what happened, a far cry from the show of bravado he displayed when bleeding again facing Mugabe. But when that happened, the blood really was too much to let it continue. (Green was a tough little sonofagun to hurt though, aptly nicknamed.)

One who hasn't been mentioned yet is Jerry Quarry- had a very sturdy chin, but was stopped on cuts every time against Frazier and Ali

:think i agree he could be cut but the ali fights were becuase ali could hit him at will while jerry was just taking the shots. if you get hit consistantly by thos number of shots then yeah you will cut. hagler had an awful gash against hearns and vito but was far from being a bleeder.

and the joe frazier cut wasnt as bad as ali.

In reality it was the ferocity of the animal's attack that frightened James.

    Prime Fletcher ko's The Beast

Pardon the pun, but is there such an "Animal"?? The guy had a 25 fight career and you run down Leonard for not having a big enough resume. Of these mere 25 fights he failed to win 7! Add to this he never beat a ranked contender and yet again you are the laffing stock of all that is sane.

I give the nod to 'Enery Cooper. I remember seing pictures of him after his two losing fights against Ali, and marvelling at all the blood. Chuck Wepner comes close.

Ray Mancini seemed to get cut quite often... In both fights against Bramble he cut very badly... especially in the first fight.
