    No I said Calzaghe was best and I stand by it, just offering up an opinion on what might have been.

    I'm not a Calzaghe fan, but I think he is the only answer here. I think the middleweight version of Eubank was as good a fighter as Joe was, but at smw the Calzaghe who fought Lacy would probably get the better of the other smw Brits. He definitely had by far the best smw career of them anyway.

    If you asked, who was the best SuperMiddleweight period, since the division started. The answer would still be the same: Joe Calzaghe.

    cook was a good boxer and underated but would surely not be in the running to be called the greatest brit supermiddle but i agree would make the bottom end of the top ten

    My favorites were Nigel Benn and Irish Steve Collins but JC was the best by far IMO.

    I agree with you Mr Butt; Cook was indeed not the best, but he was up there with some of the names dropped, in these pages of this thread.
