Theres always debate on these subjects and with the names you mention.
Calzaghe won all the 4 titles in the SMW division at some point beating 2 undefeated fighters his own size in Kessler and Lacy to do so. Sure he beat alot of nobodies but alot of these were often WBO mandatories, he also beat Brewer, Mitchell, Hopkins, Jones, Reid, Woodhall, Eubank. etc
He had to fight Eubank to win the vacant title and Hopkins to win The Ring mag title.

Bute its maybe a bit too early to tell but in fairness he has beaten Bika, Berrio to win the title, and after a contraversial result against Andrade he fought him again so I wouldnt class that as cherry picking either.

Michalczewski won WBO, WBA & IBF titles and WBO CW title, beat L Barber, Rocchigiani, V Hill, M Griffin and fought (losing) Tiozzo

Erdei has won WBO LHW title and is now WBC CW champ after beating Fragomeni, in being WBO LHW champ he beat Garay, Sahnoune & Ulrich which I dont think is awful form really.

I dont think Hopkins is a cherry picker either but you could make an argument to say he is in beating a smaller Trinidad, De La Hoya, Winky, Pavlik and getting Calzaghe to move up to challenge him, the only time he has stepped up himself was to fight Tarver who had already been beaten and outboxed before. So I think some of your choices may be a little unfair. All the above fighters mentioned have probably cherry picked, a big example was Calzaghe letting Manfredo challenge him even though Manfredo was in The Ring top 10 at the time, but I wouldnt call any of them cherry pickers, there would be a bigger argument to call Arthur Abraham a cherry picker when you look at some (not all) of his title defences

This couldve used a voting system instead of people just naming the same names over and over.

Calzaghe fought everyone that came to him, if u can fault him its for not swallowing his pride and going abroad to defend HIS title in some other fighters home town like Froch has done. But to fault calzaghe for that you then have to fault hopkins, rjj and many more. Dont mistake stubborn egotistical pride with cherry picking.

I was a pretty big Gayweather fan at that time. I was slowly starting to realise , as the boos rained down as Floyd outclassed Baldomir...

He cherry picked Baldomir instead of fighting the guy fans and the press wanted :deal
