    So let's clarify.

Oscar could have protected his pretty face by fighting C levels for ridiculous pay checks but instead he fought Ike, Mosley, Mayweather, Hopkins, Trinidad, and Vargas.

Why is this guy resented by hardcore Boxing fans again?:huh

Whether it was the best or not, he had already fought the best anyway. Great fighters like Pac, Floyd, Dlh, and Sugar cherry picked for money, not easy fights. Pac picked Diaz, Floyd chose Hatton, dlh chose Gatti Sugar chose Lalonde. It happens...

    This is bull****.

There isn't a fighter in history that you can't go through all of the weight divisions around them in the times they fought and pick out people that they didn't fight. It isn't possible for anyone to have fought every single possible opponent in 6 weight divisions. To say that bringing up Oscar's name in a discussion of cherrypicking is a valid point because he didn't fight every single fighter who fought in the weight classes he did is absurd.

By the same logic, Duran is a cherrypicker because he fought Davey Moore and Kirkland Laing but did not fight Aaron Pryor and Michael Nunn.

Picking names off his resume and picking better guys who fought in the divisions around him in the same era is not in any way applicable to the term "cherrypicking". No way.

    :good Absolutely.

We should stop talking about Oscar De La Hoya in a thread entitled 'Greatest cherrypicker of all time?"

Thank **** someone else is noticing this. Nallege seems to have indoctrinated Jordoz and Selfkill into his religion of pure bull****.

Phew. I thought you had lost your marbles there and were starting to think Oscar was in any possible way a legitimate answer to this question.

I'm going to be honest, I can't think of a champion who is the biggest cherry picked going by how other people term cherry picker. When I look at Dlh, they were starting to say he wouldn't fight shane, tito, or ike, and look what happened. Holyfield they said wouldn't fight Bowe or Lewis...look what happened. Once you become big, if you do cherry pick, and it usually happens late in their careers mostly. I'm sure we all wanted to see Holy-Cooper before they fought that great fight. Key word: BEFORE lol...
