Interesting that you find him to be greater than the man who got you into boxing.

You know me and my H2H. Not a greater resume course, but a real unbeatable almost at his best weights.

However, good points, Pernell has worse comp H2H.

I think p4p, h2h, RJJ beats Pernell too, close fight.

I didn't say you did. My point was the double standard here. Many praise calz W over a 43 yr old bhop, but down PBF's w over a 30 something DLH.

At 168 I'd agree, as there is not nearly as much competition over history as there is at Pea's best weight.

    You mean Roy does?

A fight against a slickster like Montell Griffin doesn't sway you at all?

Tyson shouldn't even be on the ballot. It's too early to consider Joe Calzaghe, and I don't think he's anywhere near some of the others, such as De La Hoya or Mayweather.

But I've got to pick "The Real Deal" Evander Holyfield.

His resume far exceeds the others. Wins over Bowe, Tyson, Douglas, Rahman, Holmes, Foreman... damn. Should I go on? Great, exciting boxer-puncher, and multiple titlist (actually wore the undisputed heavyweight crown for three different periods).

and no its not double standards, fitz says floyd is greater because he is undefeated, but then so is calzaghe.

DLH was #1 rated 154 champ at the time... Got beat... and all the people who had DLH winning, start claiming 'he's part time.. he's old...' So why can't people say that about bhop who is CLEARLY older than DLH was when he PBF.

I'm not talking about records. Obviously both fighters are undefeated. I am talking about the double standard where some say it's ok for Calz to fight an old man, but PBF can't fight a younger old man.

    RJJ
    Sweet pea
    tito
    PBF
    ODLH
    Lewis
    Joe C
    tyson
    The real deal
    ruiz

this is my personal list. The heavy weights list further down my list due to the fact that i am not a great fan of heavyweights and do not rate them as highly as the lower weights.

my fav are MW-LHW so you still get the speed of the lower weights and you also get the raw power of the heavy weights

    P4P Basis:

    1. Whitaker
    2. Jones Jr
    3. Holyfield
    4. Lewis
    5. Mayweather Jr

Ps: In terms of greatness at HW Lewis ranks ahead of Holyfield.
