You are avoiding the point. Modern era Ali is not allowed to walk back to his corner and plop down on the stool. He has to show the ref that he is able to continue. Just because you can stagger does not mean a ref will let you continue to fight. No way a modern ref let's that fight continue, much less Dundee helping him to the corner, much less the extra time for the glove, much less the banned smelling salts. It's a TKO and you ****ing know it. Your ego just won't let you admit to yourself that you were wrong.

 

How does Cooper TKO Ali in 2003? It was the end of the round and Ali was up at the count of three. No ref stops that fight...ever.

How many fights (I'd appreciate specifics) have you seen a fighter hurt or dropped at the end of a round, get up at 3, go to his corner and sit only to have the ref come to the corner and make him get up to check him and than stop the fight? You make it sound as if this happens often so you should have plenty of examples. On the flip side, ive seen the ref go to corners between rounds and tell a fighter if he doesnt start protecting himself he will stop the fight. I'll give you an example....Corrales-Castillo. Have you seen that fight? According to you it should have been stopped. Here's another...Gatti-Ward. Gatti was hurt from a viscious body punch and getting battered. Where was the ref? Now give me some examples of the ref making someone get up between rounds and stopping.

When the **** did I say the ref would go to the corner and stand him up. I never said that I never implied that you are just dumb. A ref today wouldn't let Ali stagger back to his corner with Dundee help amd then check him. Actually he would DQ him the moment Dundee helped him but thst is beside the point. The ref would check Ali right there as soon as he got up. That is what they are required to do now. He would most likely stop the fight there.

If he didn't the fight most definitely would have been stopped between rounds as without the smelling salts and delay with the glove there is no way Ali makes the bell, either the ref or doc stops it then.
