    I rate Louis the greatest heavyweight ever and Marciano 10th. Head to head at their best Joe would destroy Rocky. I have no problem with anyone putting Ali in the top spot though. In my opinion only Louis and Ali should ever be argued as the greatest heavyweight ever.

    Sonny Liston on his best day had the chance of beating any HW you can think of .

    His frightening power mixed with his versatily was amazing .

    But Muhammed Ali is indeed the greatest HW that has ever lived .

    You can make a strong case for either Louis or Ali.

    I truly believe had Ali not lost 3 plus years of his absolute prime, that this would be a landslide in favor of Muhammad.

    People want to knock Louis for his bum of the month club opposition, but he did take on some ATG's/HOF'ers in his heyday and came out victorious on most of them. Fighting guys like Ezzard Charles, The Rock, Jersey Joe, Billy Conn, Schmeling, Baer. It's a pretty impressive list even with his resume littered with club fighters.

    Ali is the greatest of those 3 imo.

    Louis is my personal favourite of the 3 because of style.

    Also Sam Langford would knock out Ali, Louis and rocky and he isn't even a heavyweight
