No, Refs are concerned about head trauma amd the fighter not being able to defend themselves.

You have obviously never boxed because you are confusing boxing hurt, nervous system is shot, to a more common language hurt, in pain.

Lol, where have you boxed and who have you been in the ring with? And please show me where it states ANYWHERE that refs are more concerned with head trauma. As a former amateur fighter and boxing enthusiast for more than 30 years i can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt the refs job is to protect the fighter under any circumstance. There is nothing anywhere that says a ref should be MORE concerned with head trauma than anything else. of course a child wouldnt know this.

 

From the guidelines

" look for signs of weakness such as position of the eyes, glassy stare, dilation of pupils, lack of steady equilibrium, bad cuts or bleeding, etc."

Seems to me that head trauma is the primary concern when refs are gaging to stop a fight after a knockdown.

 

So that is your assumption and indeed not a fact as youve tried to portray it to help your argument. Can you show me in this link where it says head trauma is a more important thing to protect than anything else, or does it say pretty much what i already told you? Looking over the rules I was reminded another reason it was illegal for Dundee to enter the ring.

The round ends after the ref has finished his count and check of of the fighter. If the timekeeper accidentally rings the bell it is to be ignored as incidental amd the ref will signal the time keeper when he has finished his check amd end the round.

So no Dundee did not enter the ring after the round was over.

 

It's implicit in what they are instructed to pay attention to in making their determination to end the fight. Almost everything on the list is a sign of head trauma.
