Wlad had to cheat constantly with his awful wrestling tactics. He was even worse than John Ruiz in this regard, since Ruiz at least fought inside the clinch and didn't try to frontal dry hump you. No one came close to getting away with that level of physical manhandling except in very rare instances where they ended up being DQed.

Ali was no angel but he fought clean most of the time and always gave opponents an opportunity to work in the clinch.

The Cooper glove slashing incident was proven to be an urban myth, and I think most people would agree that Ali would have gone on to win regardless.

Why since Dempsey? Doesn't Joe Louis count?

    Prime for prime it's 50/50.

Holyfield lost to light heavyweight Michael Morrer and got KO'ed by *middleweight* James Toney.

Spinks held the Light Heavyweight and Heavywieght championships of the world. That trumps anything Holyfield was able to do in his career. Nobody with 1/2 of a working brain cell regards Evander Holyfield as a better fighter than Michael Spinks. He wasn't.

Exactly how many *middleweights* hold a KO victory over Larry Holmes?

Holyfield also KO'd Moorer which you conveniently leave out. Holmes couldn't beat, let alone hurt Spinks in either of their fights.

Spinks also lost to Tyson in 90 seconds and retired. Holyfield beat Tyson twice and also beat Bowe, Mercer, Thomas, Foreman, and Dokes. Holyfield held the Cruiserweight and Heightweight championships of the world. Anyone with a 1/2 working brain cell can see that Holyfield had a better career than Spinks and would have tooled him if they fought.

Holmes didn't lose to any middleweights but he did lose to a LHW, twice. It's also a dishonest to say Holyfield lost to a middleweight when Toney was about a decade removed from being a middleweight. That is like saying anyone Pacquaio beat at WW lost to a flyweight, it's an exaggeration. Also, Holyfield was 40-41 years at the point.

We need a Rummy video for the top 10 weakest and weirdest HW belt holders of the ABC title soups. Bruce Seldon, Herbie Hide, Manuel Charr, Nikolai Valuev, Charles Martin are some ideas from the top of my head.
