by 1983 holmes was jus reaching the end of his prime years and although he carried on for several more years he certainly wasnt what he was from 1978-1982 which i considered his best years...tyson's prime years were too short and his standard of opponent was low but it's a toss up between lewis and holyfield for me....lewis was unlucky that he never got the holyfields and tysons in their respective primes because i would have backed him to beat both of them
:good Exactly, cant really include Holmes into the discussion fairly here I feel, and as you say, Tyson was great, but not for long enough, Lewis for me
From '83 onwards he lost 6 times I think, so how can you have him above anyone, he was past his prime at this point. So what Lewis lost to MCcall, he baet him, and avenged his stupid loss to Hasim, beat everyone he ever faced, pretty good reason to have him up there at the summit
good point. though that guy who KO1 frazier in 1983 and stopped bonecrusher 1984 was still the easton assassin. but yeah, he was on the decline in 1984.
