Are you saying this because of the blond afro ? :D
If so , then Simon Phoenix was the first Randleman. (aka Snipes in demolition man )

Only looking at their respective records Hoost should be considered the best. Most tournament wins and a great win/loss record with a good KO percentage. But I like Aerts style better always going for KO's. Also with a little more luck and less injuries Aerts would have won the GP at least two more times.

Bonjasky got beaten by a past his prime Aerts pretty decisively and he got shut out by Schilt and Crocop. Bonjasky is very good but not among the greats IMO. Schilt has a great record and should be considered one of the best ever although his ugly style prevents me from doing so.

Honorable mentions go to Le Banner(great fighter but shaky chin) who is the best fighter never to win the GP and of course the late great Andy Hug who passed away at a young age having won 1 GP.

No, Aerts is still alive and his pudgy slow old ass is still knocking fools dead. Hug is the fighter who died.

Aerts I always felt his tournament wins were better and even at his old age he manages to get to the finals of the GP. Andy Hug deserves a mention as well.

Got to go with Hoost. Not that I really liked his style, but he was a tactician in the ring, beating up guys quite a bit younger than himself.. That he shat his pants against Sapp is just a genetic problem most Frenchmen have when they face big Americans.

Ernesto Hoost IMO even though he lost twice to Sapp. His leg kicks were so brutal you could hear the "snap" when they connected.

The best together! Hoost really should have 3 K-1 World Grand Prix, the last one was a total farce and disgrace being KO'd by Sapp.

I've always liked Aerts, but I'm not sure he's the best. Hoost has the most name recognition...that's for sure.

Well it was a total embarresment for K-1.
Sapp had no expericance with 0 fights, no stanima, no technique, a shaky chin. HTF do you lose to a complete novice that was throwing windmill punches, that a grandmother with a bad hip could see coming? That was a total ****ing joke and disgrace.

What do you think would happen, Lennox Lewis vs Bob Sapp with ZERO boxing experiance? It would be a massacre. Hoost actually lost and big time.

    kaman or hoost

schilt could be in contention if he keeps dominating like he has for years to come. Though he should loose points cause of his freakish size advantage.
