There are none. GSP's up there. But GOAT? No way.

Do you have any idea of GSPs accomplishments outside of UFC - or Silvas outside of MMA?

Would love to be able to properly compare them with that preposterous list Fedors attained

There's none. No one comes even close that's worth talking about. GSP had no career outside of the UFC amateur or professional. Silva is the same. Unless you want to count the two boxing bouts he had one where he fought some tin can and the other where he was knocked out.

Well..... theres no doubt GSP has many wrestling accolades in his list, and Anderson will for sure have won mdeals in competitions outside MMA. And of course both have many FOTY type awards.... it could be closer than you think, no?

What does having a career outside of the UFC matter? What was Fedor's career outside of PRIDE? What was Anderson's inside of PRIDE? Why not go by what fighters they've beaten? Isn't that how it's usually done?

GSP (most likely to have Condit soon enough):
    Matt Hughes 2x
    BJ Penn 2x
    Jon Fitch
    Jake Shields
    Thiago Alves
    Karo Pariysan
    Josh Koscheck 2X

    The Spider-
    Dan Henderson
    Rich Frankling 2x
    Chael Sonnen 2x
    Nate Marquardt
    Damian Maia
    Vitor Belfort
    Carlos Newton

    Fedor:
    Nog 2x
    Mirko CroCop
    Ricardo Arona
    Mark Hunt
    Tim Sylvia
    Mark Coleman
    Kevin Randleman

GSP has beat the better fighters more often. And is still continuing in a strong division whereas MW has been the weakest division for years.

It matters a huge amount, if what people are really asking is who is the greatest fighter of all time

It also matters if people are asking whos the GOAT MMA fighter. Sambo is MMA. You could stretch that out to include all forms of combat. And at that, Fedor has an exhaustive resume. I want to see how GSP and Anderson can even begin to compete with that, outside of the mass appeal of UFC/Pride

If they cant, then there is no debate to be had

Not to the level that Fedor competed at. If you can find me a record for either id be happy to see it. GSP has only ever spoken of wanting to compete in the Olympics at Wrestling something he and the UFC dispensed with some time ago. Likewise Silva doesn't have any notable wins in any Muay Thai tourneys that i know of. Which ever way you want to slice or dice it none have competed at the level Fedor has.

Hendo only recently overtook Penn for me.

And I'm unsure about whether to have Chuck or Crocop higher, but I'm happy with all my other placings. :good

Good list b. Although its difficult not to have Sakuraba higher simply for being Mr Bushido.

I wouldn't argue with anyone who had Saku at 6th.

Very solid list fella, personally I think there a case to bump Saku up to 7 and Matt down to 8 or even 9 myself though

But I'll admit Im biased just cause it's Saku :D

I don´t rate Sakuraba too high...because I´m not confortable rating guys like Ryan, Renzo, and even Royler or Royce too high as MMA fighters, you know..

Nothing against Saku, but IMO there are quite a few guys over him.....

Fair enough Vic, but in context they were big wins, and Royce and Renzo are decent in anyones books at the time.

How do you think Hughes would have done against Randleman, Vitor or Rampage at the time?
