    How can any list omit Southpaw Lew Tendler, who was as good a fighter P4P as anyone on your list...Tendler had the misfortune to fight the same time as the incomparable lightweight Benny Leonard...

    Good shout! Leach was an excellent fighter, but gets lost in memory because he fought in an era of so many outstanding fighters at or near his weight. Sorta like Dave Holly.

    Leach Cross was not a "Philly" fighter. He was born in New York City and fought from there most of his career. Also had a dental office in New York.
